Arisato Minato & female main character from the soon-to-be-released game (Nov 1 in Japan) Persona 3 Portable.

I really like Minato and have always been rather picky of the girls he gets to date in the game. I'm not really fond of any in particular (although I tolerate Yukari by default). But with the existence of P3P, I'm presented with an interesting possibilty. Who better to be paired with our original main character but the female main character herself? Very appropriate, is it not?

Yes, I like this couple. So much. And yes, I know this pairing will never work since these two are alternate versions of themselves. Not unless one can somehow crossover to the alternate side (which, come to think of it, is my kind of plot device) and meet the other. Tragic. Love is tragic.

Rant:

Oh god. Okay. This was exhausting. I never intended to take it this far. It started as a pencil doodle in my tiny sketchbook which I only planned to slap some half-assed colouring and post in my blog just to satisfy my inner fangirl (you know, so I can stare at it and squee shamelessly).

What could've taken only a few hours to finish morphed into days due to procrastination and over-thinking. Halfway through, I decided to draw a background to cover the empty space. On that, all I can say is... what a bloody mess. I'm sorry it looks fugly, though I still think it's better than nothing. I did the BG on a separate paper since the sketchbook was too small. That unleashed a whole new can of worms.

Furthermore, I seemed to have forgotten that tiny yet frustrating fact when using a black ink pen excessively - how bad it looks once scanned. The inked sections came out all patchy. I tried my best to fix them, but you may still notice (depending on your monitor, I guess. This looks quite terrible on my laptop screen). My shadings don't make sense, so don't puzzle yourselves over them. Yes, some limbs were supposed to be missing (adds to the intrigue lol), and no, the blotchy colours on their uniforms weren't the result of a paint job gone awry. I claim artistic freedom.

Lol, thank goodness about the inking. :D

I'm excited too though trying not to be. xD The wait for the English version is going to be a long one. I would attempt to play it in Japanese, but it's not half as fun if I don't understand much of what's going on. How I wish I know Japanese well.

Aw, thank youu~! >_< :hug: So glad you like the style. Haven't tried something like this in a while. I attempted to imitate the colouring on the original P3 artworks but realized that I... couldn't (or at least, it didn't turn out right at all). Had to find an alternative method that would work.
