Artist's CommentsOooh MORE characters posing in front of a blank background. Joy. =___= It has been a while. Ive been stalling and wallowing in my pit of depression [again] which in turn robbed me off my mood to draw. I went through a phase where I hated pretty much every single thing that I drew this month, my self-esteem and confidence regarding my skills being reduced to a near zero, etcetera, etcetera. But I kind of gave myself a hard mental kick and forced my brain out of the gutter to finish this. [Thanks also to Taylz for the much needed boost. Ill be all right. I think. For now.] XD;;;; *slaps self* Note: FULL VIEW to see the DEFORMITIES, if you so please. >__> Original characters from my currently non-existent story and for that, you should be thankful cause if it really DID exist, it would be so utterly and sickeningly SHOUJO in every way that youd be left screaming for mercy. *evil laughter* I brooded over this for an excruciatingly long time [yeah much, much longer than when I did my last AiR pic]. The inking was done in a less-detailed way [which is the style I tend to prefer nowadays. *cough* lazy-ass*cough*] and yeah, I confess. I didnt put much effort into it. Technical pen was used strictly on the facial areas only [and in the girls case, her hair as well] while the rest I did using normal 0.1 pigment ink pen. Very straight-forward. Nothing unusual or extraordinary. Everything went quite all right during the initial process of coloring until it came to the girls jacket. I spent a lot of time looking for pattern references and all that but the jacket turned out very much UNLIKE what I originally intended. To put it in simpler terms, I think it sucks. That kinda dampened my spirits a great deal and this pic went into hiatus for quite some time as a result I even considered giving up on it since it was causing me a huge amount of unneeded stress. Haha. XD; Then, after a few weeks, I realized that I really should stop being so pathetic and get over it already. Once I chose to completely free my mind of matters concerning TEH jacket and move on, things went a lot smoothly. On a more positive note, I like how the guys outfit turned out. The patterns on his outfit were [surprisingly!] a no-brainer, which made them even more enjoyable to do. ^_^ I couldnt for the life of me recall how the hell I colored white hair, however. Im not satisfied with how it turned out but I suppose that cant be helped. It was not my intention to use so many grey shades in this pic but in the end, I could think of no other color thats more suitable. Maybe because Im THAT boring. XD Lately, Ive taken to drawing on A4 paper instead of my sketchpad. *yawns* Screwed up yet another drawing. Critique discouraged because I CAN. Haha. And Ill be so very, very, very depressed if you do. And mind you, Im immensely tired of depressing over this. Please, no more. ~_~ Wow. This entry came out much more cheerful than I thought. --------------------------------------- Hiioryuu & Saiseki Hirari Hanne Monogatari ©Me --------------------------------------- Mediums: 0.5 mechanical pencil, 0.1 pigment ink pen, 0.1 technical pen, Copic Sketch & Kurecolor markers, Comic White, 0.7 white gel pen. |
